Earlier this month, pop star Lady Gaga was quoted in Flare magazine as saying, "There hasn't been a commercial artist lately that has embodied avant-garde and couture so insistently as myself."
While we have developed a fond appreciation for Gaga's committment to fashion (and agree that her "Paparazzi" video is likely one of the most stylish in recent years), we'd like to point out some of the most fashionable efforts other artists have made over the years. Sure, few of these artists would coat themselves in baby powder in the name of fashion, but...perhaps that works in their favor.
