Natural Bridges National Monument

Natural Bridges National Monument - This monument of slickrock, ancient rock writing, American Indian ruins and three natural bridges is one of the most remote and least populated places in the lower 48 states.  

A group of boys was going out to the bridges from Blanding, and I told them not to scratch their names on rocks inside the monument.

Fluttering in on cool, offshore breezes, the monarch butterflies are slowly beginning their annual return to Natural Bridges State Park. On Sunday, the park will host the 28th annual Welcome Back Monarchs Day. The celebration kicks off the butterfly season, which lasts through February.
