Prime Minister Should Have His Due Rights: Nawaz Sharif
LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif Friday said the affairs of the country are being run on the same rules which were being followed by Pervez Musharraf led government and the Prime Minister is not enjoying the powers that he should be entitled to.
Addressing the party workers, the PML-N Chief said: “Our intention is to set the matters right by cooperating with Pakistan People’s Party.”
He said, if he is given an opportunity, he would be ready to serve the country as prime minister.
Nawaz Sharif said presently the President is enjoying all the powers. It should be the Prime Minister who should have all his due powers, he added.
He said the Charter of Democracy (CoD), signed by PML-N and PPP, has being treated as nothing but a piece of paper.
“The murderers of Akbar Bugti could have been brought to justice had the CoD been implemented,” he regretted.
