One of Michael Jackson's White Gloves Up for Auction

The white glove singer Michael Jackson wore during his 1984 Victory Tour will be auctioned off by American auction house Profiles in History in October.

The glove was designed for Jackson by Ted Shell of Ted Shell Designs in 1984. It's covered in bugle beads and Austrian crystals and embedded with 50 small battery-powered lights, which twinkle at random. It is one of two illuminating gloves Shell made for Michael, who passed away nearly a week ago. He gifted it to Ted Shell in 1986.

Joe Maddalena, the president of Profiles in History, said of the glove:
Michael Jackson was the undisputed King of Pop. This glove, used at the zenith of his career, is the most symbolic piece of his on-stange legacy, as he will always be remembered as the 'gloved one' - one of the greatest cultural icons of the 20th century. This glove is the ultimate piece of Jackson's performance memorabilia in the world. It is truly priceless.

The glove is planned for display at the upcoming Comic-Con convention in San Diego.

While the glove is certainly iconic, it is one of many gloves that MJ wore over the long course of his career.
