Nightmare on Elm Street is the classic horror film featuring Freddy Krueger, the murderous psychopath with fingers for knives that lives in your dreams. The film franchise has gone on for way too long, but Nightmare on Elm Street was the first, and arguably best film. It was directed by Wes Craven and is scheduled to be remade in 2009.
