Newsweek to talk with Nikki Catsouras' family about horrific accident photos

If you haven't heard the Nikki Catsouras story, then I'm sorry to be the one to expose you to it!
In 2006, 18-year-old Catsouras took her father's Porsche 911 Carrera for a joy ride that ultimately ended in her death. Surprisingly, that isn't the worst part.
A few days after Nikki died, her father received an e-mail with the subject line that read: "Woohoo, Dad, I'm still alive". Inside the e-mails were gruesome photos of Nikki's car crash. We at GaySocialites.com have decided not to publish the photos, but you can see them here. We must warn you, these pictures are HORRIBLE and are NOT something we recommend you seeing.
The photos became an internet phenomenon, and the family was horrified.
California Highway Patrol apologized for the leaked pictures and placed the blame on two CHP dispatchers. One was suspended, and the other ended up quitting.
The Catsouras family sued the two officers, but the case was dismissed. Newsweek will tell their story in detail later this month.
