Courtesy is part of a police officer's job

   This asshole should have been fired, but I'll bet his colleagues only suspended him. Cops protect other cops, even when they're clearly in the wrong. Did you hear this prick threaten to smack the kid "upside his head?"
   And for what?
   Riding a skateboard?
   Getting defensive?
   Police wonder why a lot of people hate their friggin' guts, well, here is a prime example of why. There is nothing more nauseating than abuse of power, and too many cops get away with it.
   Courtesy is part of a police officer's job. Did you detect an ounce of it here?
In case you're wondering, I do speak from experience. About 18 months ago, I was pulled over by a DPS officer near Goldthwaite, Texas for going six MPH over the speed limit.
   The guy was flat-out discourteous, to the point of trying to intimidate me. It pissed me off so much that I called Internal Affairs in Austin to complain. To their credit, they made the officer's supervisor in Lampasas, Texas review the video of the traffic stop. But it was his conclusion that I was "overreacting."
   Well, if was overreating, that means that there was something to REACT TO.
   And police officers shouldn't be giving us ANYTHING to react to. That's just plain dangerous. They should be courteous. That's all I ask. 
   Want to write me a ticket? Fine. But don't talk to me like a felon just because I was six over the speed limit.
   So anyway, nothing happened, and Mr. DPS officer is still free to pull people over and treat them like scum.
   Watching this jerk cop in Baltimore brought back the anger.
   Whew! Ok, I'm calm now.
