According to Wikipedia.org: Servant of God Pope John Paul II,, born Karol Jozef Wojtyla reigned as Pope of the Roman Catholic Church from October 16, 1978 until his death more than 26 years later, making his the second-longest pontificate in modern times after Pius IX's 31-year reign. He was the first Polish Pope and the first non- Italian Pope since the Dutch Adrian VI in the 1520s. He is one of only four people to have been named to the Time 100 for both the 20th century and for a year in the 21st.
Pope John Paul II had three players from the 8-0 New Orleans Saints, in defensive backs Malcolm Jenkins, Tracy Porter and Usama Young show up at a Black-and-Gold Pep Rally held in the school’s gym Tuesday. Young, who said the group has already visited some schools, said it’s very important to go out into the community.
