The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, also Porto Rico and more commonly Puerto Rico, is a United States territory with Commonwealth status located in the northeastern Caribbean, east of the Dominican Republic and west of the Virgin Islands. The archipelago of Puerto Rico includes the main island of Puerto Rico, the smallest of the Greater Antilles, and a number of smaller islands and keys, the largest of which are Mona, Vieques, and Culebra. The world premiere of "Impending Visit" will be at the Fiesta Iberoamericana de las Artes at the Tapia Theater in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, October 31, 2009. The festival honors choreographer Henning Rubsam for his long-time commitment to contemporary music. Rübsam's new creation "Impending Visit" features the work of Puerto Rican composer Rafael Aponte-Ledee.
