Unlike the fight cards coming up, UFC 104 had a strong set of matches, which included San Jose resident Cain Velasquez in a heavyweight match against UFC first-timer Ben Rothwell, and Lyoto Machida defending his light-heavyweight title against Pride Fighting Championship veteran Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.
