3 peaks resort in south lake tahoe

the logo for this resort is a st bernard in hawaiian shorts… this very dog friendly property is conveniently located across from a shopping center with grocery store (Raley’s) and near to the casinos. There is a private beach nearby where guests can go with their dogs on leash. The 3 peaks resort has cozy upscale rooms and suites, our suite #305 had parking right outside the front and back doors, a kitchenette, living room with gas fireplace, tub and shower, and bedroom and two tv’s.

there is grass all around the property as well as pet waste bags on site. dogs are allowed in the lobby and in the swimming pool area. There are four suites in the pool area that have enclosed patios. There is a wireless computer in the lobby as well as wireless in the room and suites. Check-in was very easy. there are various kinds of rooms from motel rooms (like cute log cabins) with two beds, fridge, coffeemaker, junior one bedroom suites and larger king two bedroom suites as well as a stand alone cabin. All 62 rooms are pet friendly.

the pet fee is $20 per pet pet night … pet amenities: treats (organic) in the lobby… as well as coffee and tea…

Lake Tahoe has a new 38,000 square foot, off-leash dog park in the Bijou Community Park. And when the pets are tuckered out, there are more than 20 pet-friendly lodging properties in the area.

A new dog-friendly beach is almost complete near Regan Beach. There isn’t a whole lot of details finalized at this point, but you’re able to see the buoys out there now. For more information about the beach: http://www.recreationintahoe.com/outdoor_recreation/regan_beach. Kiva beach, located on the south end of town, is a popular dog-friendly beach.

Several outdoor restaurants will allow dogs in the warmer months, including Sprouts Natural Café and The Brewery.

Dog Dog Cat is a great pet store located near the Heavenly Village that has a lot of unique gifts for your 4 legged friends.

Fallen Leaf Lake and trails by Kirkwood/Hope Valley are also favorite places to take dogs.
