Secaucus Mayor Dennis Elwell joins Hoboken Mayor Peter Cammarano in arrests Thursday.


Dennis Elwell has been mayor of Secaucus, town council member, and former Secaucus Board of Education member over 20 years. Elwell is the president of a truck company owned by his family and a Vietnam vet.

That is compared to Hoboken Mayor Peter Cammarano, who at 32 and a lawyer was elected mayor in June just this year.

Also arrested are Jersey City Deputy Mayor Leona Beldini, one of three deputy mayors for Jersey City, and State Assemblyman Daniel Van Pelt, elected to her position in 2008.
