The yacht at the center of a Prescott couple's murder will go up for sale within the next two weeks, a California yacht broker said.

Thomas and Jackie Hawks lived aboard the Well Deserved, a 55-foot cabin cruiser. They were murdered on Nov. 15, 2004, while showing the yacht to a man they hoped would be a potential buyer.

Deleon and four others were convicted for their roles in the crime.

Deleon was sentenced in April to death by lethal injection. The last defendant was sentenced this week to 20 years in prison.

Now, more than four years after the murders, the yacht is being sold for $229,000, said Jerry Wakefield of Dixon Yachts in Newport Beach.

The boat isn't ready to show yet, having been in dry dock as evidence for much of the past four years.

But it should be ready within the next two weeks, Wakefield said.

The boat also suffered damage from vandals and curious trespassers before it was placed in storage, he said.

"There were a ton of people going on it, even with police tape around it," Wakefield said. "It was a very morbid situation."
