Snoop Dogg Owes $284,000 in Taxes

(Getty Images)more pics »Reinforcing the point that celebs hate to pay their taxes, TMZ has revealed the latest star to fall behind on his payments: Snoop Dogg. The rapper, who's set to launch his "Blazed and Confused" tour in July, apparently owes California $284,053.59.

TMZ acquired Snoop's tax lien, which was filed last month, and he could possibly face prosecution if he doesn't get his act together and cough up the debt. Since Forbes estimated Snoop's 2006 income to be around $17 million, the cash shouldn't be too difficult to come by.

Still, it should be mentioned that Snoop recently missed out on a money-making opportunity when he hit the studio with Amy Winehouse. The pair intended to collaborate on some songs last year...But then they got high.

A source said:
Amy came to the studio buzzing with ideas and the pair got on really well, even though Snoop turned up in his dressing gown with his slippers on, which had Amy giggling.

They were working at a frenetic pace at first, but as the day wore on and more smoke breaks took place, the work rate slackened. By the time their studio time ended they had a pair of tracks sketched out, but no finished product. On that note, TMZ estimates that $284k will buy you around 190,000 joints.
