Sofia Vassilieva Really Shaved Her Head for 'My Sister's Keeper'

Despite the pictures of a bald Cameron Diaz that were quickly passed around the Internet, it appears that Cameron refused to go through with a real head-shave for her latest film, My Sister's Keeper.

Sofia Vassilieva, Diaz's 16-year-old co-star, went for the real deal, however, and had her locks made into a wig that she eventually donated to Locks of Love.

Vassilieva actually landed the role in the Nick Cassavetes film after Dakota Fanning dropped out of the project. Her reason for quitting? She didn't want to shave her head.




Now Vassilieva's hair is growing out, and she's rocked both a pixie cut and a sleek short bob. What a brave move for a teenager - it looks great!
