When it arrived in just 3 or 4 days which I thought was very fast for free delivery I found it very well packed without any damage,It came with easy to read instructions which made it easy to assemble. We bought it to clean our den & one bedroom. I'm not an expert carpet cleaner but I feel like one now, it's very easy to use and did an excellent job. The only problem I had after the wife seen what a great job I was doing she suggested that I should do the rest of the house!

Nicely priced. Easy to assemble. No leak problems. Lifts an incredible amount of dirt (dumping the receiving bucket is quite educational). I don't see the need to spend any more money than what this machine cost.

Everything has been working fine so far. Water left on tiled floor but not a large problem; haven't tried hardwood floors yet but Hoover emailed me and said I could use FloorMate products in the SteamVac. It is all made of plastic so I try to be gentle with items. Also, the power tools are nice but do not suck up much water; you have to pass the same area a few times to get the water out. I used it on my car, carpets, tiles, and will start using it on my hard wood floors and grout when I get the right solutions. I did purchase the bare floor attachment. I don't know what it does but I use it. I also used the scrubber hand tool for random things in the house as well and it scrubbed clean many items. It is very loud and the chemicals have made me light headed but after using professional cleaners for many years; this cleaner out did them all so using it once earns its keep.

People need to stop expecting so much from cheap products. These cleaners do a good job and last a relatively long time "IF" taken well care of. They are not dry vacuums. I've owned a Bissell cleaner for 10 years and it's still working. I've had to repair it a few times as it's 95% plastic. These units cost less than one visit from the pro's. You can pull it out of the closet anytime and do spot cleaning. Read the instructions and get some cheap cleaner from the local department store. I've used various types of cleaners in my unit with similiar results. I like to experiment. I have four cats and two dogs. I know what I'm talking about. You need to clean these units after each use. The best thing you can do is vacuum the area a couple times before you wet-vac it. If your vaccum is weak get a new one. You can get an excellent vacuum for the same price as the Hoover F5914-900. I almost bought a Dyson but found a Bissell for half the price that cleans as good and has the same warranty.
