Lots of sports excitement this weekend. The Rays beat Boston in a game that seemed to last about 10 hours, although I can’t be sure of the exact time as I couldn’t keep my eyes open long enough to watch it until the end. Also, my beloved Texas Longhorns beat No. 1 Oklahoma in their best game...  

Dodgers' Game 4 starter will be pitching on short rest, but he has proved he can handle it in the past and his manager isn't worried. The last time Joe Torre used a pitcher on three days' rest in the playoffs, he sent Chien-Ming Wang to the mound for Game 4 of the 2007 American League division...  

Needing at least two wins in three games to extend their season, the Dodgers scheduled a pregame meeting today before Game 3 of the National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium. But, Manager Joe Torre cautioned, that was a sign of confidence, not panic.
