Tommy Hilfiger is 25! Well, not Tommy Hilfiger the man, but rather the collection that is Tommy Hilfiger...

The celebration is one that isn't being done in halves! It has been announced that a massive coffee table book remembering 25 years of Tommy Hilfigers style will be released. There will also be a special tailgating event held with Macy's in conjunction with Fashion's Night Out on September 10th. Perhaps the most exciting news for consumers is the announcement of the Tommy Hilfiger Icon Collection and a limited edition collection for Macy's stores!

WWD reports that the Icon Collection is "inspired by the greatest pieces of Hilfiger’s heritage and updated for today. The collection will launch in October at all Hilfiger retail stores and key international wholesale accounts. The Icon collection was designed by the internal team and Hilfiger, and consists of 25 items, inspired by Grace Kelly, James Dean, Deborah Harry, Iggy Pop, Farrah Fawcett and Steve McQueen. For example, Dean inspired a navy peacoat, Kelly inspired a sleeveless trench and Harry gave inspiration to a hooded sweatshirt."
