DENVER — A foundation created by Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is issuing a grant for the Denver Police Department's K-9 program.
Denver police have been looking for help to buy a new police dog to help replace canines retiring at the end of the year. The department's K-9 supervisor, Sgt. Evan Hvizdak, says The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation grant will allow the department to keep service dogs on the front lines.
