The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring-Summer Showcase is another ‘first’ by the FDCI which serves as a platform to promote 'The Business of Fashion' and facilitate interaction between designers and buyers in India and internationally. Over the last six years, the event has grown to be recognized as the only fashion event in India which is dedicated to taking the Indian fashion industry to the global stage.
The 2008 Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week
The Wills Lifestyle event went big this week, with a LOT of designers showing off their new collections.
Before the event, press and industry insiders were lining up for sneak peaks at the new trends and collections from a multitude of designers.
"There will be about 150 domestic and foreign buyers, including organised retailers like Reliance Retail and Pantaloon. Of this, 50 buyers are from European and other countries," Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) Director General Rathi Vinay Jha told the press.
India Fashion week included over 40 shows. Our favorite so far was Vikram Phadnis' new collection .
