Since I signed up with Netflix a few years back, I have been renting TV shows that were popular during the time I was growing up, which would've been the late fifties and early sixties. So far Ive managed to view the entire series of The Rifleman, Combat, and Route 66. For my next series, I rented The Best of Bonanza, Vol. 1. Of the episodes watched so far, The Saga of Annie OToole had a scene with Adam and Annie opening a restaurant, and the scent of her cooking wafting through... Read Full Story

According to Gene Norman, the weather guy on Channel 11 here in Houston, these past few days have been unusually warm and humid. As he says, The muggies are back! Compared to Maine where I lived before moving here two years ago, muggies are not too hard to take, especially with temperatures near ninety during the day and low seventies during the night.
Most of my neighbors in the apartment complex where I live have had their AC's cranking at full force, but I leave mine off and instead... Read Full Story
