Another gay publication calls it quits, staff also fired

The New York Blade has suspended publication following news that HX Magazine was sold as well. Both fell under the HX Media umbrella, but now they're both seemingly gone.

Bank announced that HX had been sold to a top secret buyer earlier this week, and now he says the New York Blade is on hold as well. All the staff has also been canned.

“Everyone was let go, but the people on The Blade know that they may come back if The Blade is coming back,” says Bank.

The future of the Blade seems uncertain.

“It doesn’t have an issue scheduled until a week from Friday.” Mr. Bank said. “There are a lot of things that can happen between now and then.”

Rumor has it HX Magazine was sold to their competitor Next Magazine.
