Harvey Milk and the bad guys

Yesterday, I watched MILK.
If you've been following this blog for a long time, you know that I walked onto the set when they were filming it in SF.

It's a good movie. It made me miss California.
The thing that really got to me though, the thing that really "affected" me, was that people like Dickie Bell, if he ever bothered to see a movie about equal rights, probably cheer at the end.

In fact, I know he would. It bothers me. It bothers me that people like that run for office. It bothers me that people like that are allowed to live with you and me, and that they have a voice that divides us.

Dickie Bell actually has anti-gay shit on the mailer he sent out as a reason to vote for him.
