Women Only Dinner in New York City(Sarah Brown)

Guests attend a dinner hosted exclusively for women in New York at Tao. Present were HM Queen Rania Al Abdulah, Sarah Brown wife of the UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, and Wendi Murdoch, and women from across the world urged the UN Secretary General, Ben Ki-Moon and global leaders to renew their commitments and accelerate action in order to deliver the Millennium Development Goal of reducing maternal mortality by 75% by 2015. Currently the lack of action in achieving this MDG means that in some parts of the world 1 in 8 women die in childbirth.
