Rehabilitated Birds Caught In Last Month's Oil Spill Are Freed
Birds are released into the water at Eastshore State Park November 13, 2009 in Berkeley, California. Fifteen rehabilitated birds that were rescued from the oiled waters of the San Francisco Bay following an oil spill from the Dubai Star vessel on October 30 were released back into the wild after being treated at the San Francisco Bay Oiled Wildlife Care and Education Center in Cordelia, California. Thirty-six birds died from the oil spill.
