I cheated on Glenlivet last night… There, you have it.
I have no regrets-
As it made me realize just what I have in Mr. Glenlivet;)
Went to a Christmas party last night-
They were serving Dewars.
When I ordered a scotch from the bartender his response was-
“Are you sure?”
“Um…. Yes, I am very sure.”- I said with a smile.
Can you believe he gave it to me in a wine glass?
I walked away, took one sip- and turned right around and walked back-
He looked surprised to see me again- if not a little annoyed…
“Hi there- it’s me again”- I said with a little awkward wave hello-
“Um… do you think you could give me one of those glasses”- as I stood pointing to the proper glass he should have poured it into.
He gave me a slightly perturbed look and mumbled under his breath, “I put it in a wine glass because it is more lady like – ladies don’t drink scotch.”
WHAT???????????
I laughed out loud- it in no way ticked me off-
I found it to be hysterical- actually thanked him for the input- Which had him even more confused as I walked away.
But wouldn’t you know it was my “proper” scotch drinking glass that caught the eye of the owner of the company as I walked past him-
He grabbed my arm and said- “So, you’re a scotch drinker are you?”
He took my glass from me and motioned for me to follow him back to the kitchen-
He took out a glass that weighed more than the free weights I work out with and poured me a glass of Glenmorangie 18 yr. old-
It was just a taste…
Is it considered cheating if you just taste?
Ok- I am lying- I drank the whole thing.
But even as I said thank you- and stood drinking my 18 year old-
I couldn’t help thinking about Glenlivet-
Sure, Glenmorangie was definitely tasty- and smooth-
