Brent Celek ignited controversy last Sunday when he struck a pose after scoring a touchdown. But it wasn't just any pose. It was the
Captain Morgan pose.

The NFL quickly came down on the action. While Brent Celek won't be fined for his one-knee-up celebration pose, the league made it clear that what they called "ambush marketing" won't be allowed on the playing field. It all came down as Captain Morgan rum was ready to launch a campaign in which they would donate $10,000 to the Gridiron Greats fund every time a player struck the pose after scoring a touchdown. The donation would have jumped to $25,000 in the playoffs and $100,000 in the Super Bowl.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told Yahoo Sports that the donations amounted to underhanded marketing disguised as charity. "A company can't pay a player to somehow promote it's product on the field," Aiello said. "Every league has the same rule. … It's come up before, companies trying to use our games and then players for ambush marketing purposes."
Here are pictures from Brent Celek's now-infamous Captain Morgan pose. Huh. He actually looks kind of cool.
