Naveen Andrews

Naveen Andrews is a British-born (1969) actor, who in spite of numerous film credits (Drowning on Dry Land '99, Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love '96), only became a household face as Sayid Jarrah in Lost. Currently living in the U.S., Andrews' latest films, which he filmed at the same time, shuttling from New York to Austin Texas, are Robert Rodriguez' Terror Planet and The Brave One with Jodi Foster (Neil Jordan directing).

TMZ reports that the actor was granted temporary custody of his 3-year-old son Naveen Joshua Wednesday morning after his mother broke the terms of their custody arrangement. Andrews requested the hearing on the grounds that his ex took their son out of Los Angeles County with his permission and stopped him from seeing his son. On Wednesday, Lost star Naveen Andrews won sole custody of the son he fathered in 2005 with actress Elena Eustache when he was "on a break" from his current actress GF, Barbara Hershey. Eustache had accused Andrews of trying to poison their son and Hershey of practicing witchcraft. Lost's Naveen Andrews was awarded physical and legal custody of his 3-year-old son Wednesday in L.A Superior Court, according to TMZ.com . The boy's mother, Elena Eustache, had taken him without L.A. County permission after accusing Andrews' girlfriend, actress Barbara Hershey, of practicing witchcraft and poisoning her son, according to TMZ. But a judge didn't buy her claims. Under Wednesday's ruling, the boy is now allowed to travel to Hawaii -- where Andrews films Lost -- and can be accompanied either by the actor or Hershey. Naveen Andrews Gets 'Law & Order: SVU' Guest Gig

Naveen Andrews, best known as Ocean 815 survivor Sayid Jarrah on Lost, has signed on for a guest role on the NBC drama Law & Order: SVU.TVGuide.com reports that he is set to begin shooting in the coming week in New York, although details of his role are being kept under wraps. His episode is set to air in January next year, at around the same time Lost premieres its sixth and final season.
